  1. 1. I would prefer the learner design at some and then subject design on some. I think the designs are actually applicable depending on the kind of subjects will be taught. Some subjects really need to be based on books like history and english language. Some can be a kind of activity for the lesson to be taught. This is why i think a combination of both will be more succesful in designing a curriculum.

    2. First, since I will be using learner design, I will be studying the trends today. What appeals most on youth nowadays. I will base my activities for the lesson on the things that will help children enjoy and learn. Second, I will design a curriculum based on the needs of the students. More of specialization.Especially in high school where some students already have in mind what they want to be after graduation, I will design a curriculum that will introduce them to the basics of the nature of profession they want to pursue. And lastly, some are audio-visual learners and others just need to read a book to understand a lesson. I will create or design a curriculum base on what will be beneficial to the student.I will create modules for those who easily learn on reading and i will make s documentation or any kind of video that will make for some students to understand better. Teachers should be reaching to the level of the students and not the other way around so I will design a curriculum to which the students will maximize their potential to learn.

  2. 1. What type of curriculum design do you prefer as a teacher (subject, learner, problem)?

I will use the subject design for my curriculum in the beginning. Then I will revise it using the learner design to better improve the interaction with the students. It is very hard to use learner design right away so it will be a good introduction to teaching using the old style first then innovate with the learner design.

    2. Based on the class discussion on curriculum design, how would you now improve or develop your own curriculum. Be specific. Name at least three ways that you will do differently when designing a curriculum?

    a. I will develop my curriculum base on my own research of children's activities. I will create new activities that will further enhance the student's development unlike the old ways of relying to books and other studies in doing activities with the students.
    b. I will design online learning for the students to easily cope with the lectures and lesson. The youth nowadays are spending more time with the new technology instead of reading textbooks. It will be easier for them to relate if the lessons are following the trend.
    c. I will have my curriculum applicable to daily needs of the students meaning I will make sure my curriculum can be applied through their daily lives. Every subject will be used in activities that will show productivity in everything they do.

  4. 1. What type of curriculum design do you prefer as a teacher (subject, learner, problem)?

-as a future teacher, I prefer subject centered design with learner centered design. Subject centered focuses largely on knowledge & or intellectual development by verbal transmission of knowledge. Learner centered, focus on the needs and interests of learners & the learner is an active participant in the education process. Combining this two design will make the curriculum more effective.

    2. Based on the class discussion on curriculum design, how would you now improve or develop your own curriculum. Be specific. Name at least three ways that you will do differently when designing a curriculum?

-I will do some Research about, what kind of students, students' interest and also the environment. So that I will know what are the applicable activities/strategies for them.

-I will also include the use of technology, for this is one of the interest of the students now a days .

-I will design a need based curriculum, which will the needs of students to learn will be high lighted

  5. 1. As a future educator I prefer the learner-centered design curriculum, especially in the elementary level, as it puts into consideration the needs, abilities, purposes, and interest of the learner. An educator may have the mastery of the subject matter, all the known facts and theories to impart to the learner, and is ready to teach, but if the learner is not ready to learn or the learner cannot comprehend or grasp the educator's manner of delivery, the attempt would be futile.

    2. I would develop my own curriculum by knowing my students, observing them and studying their cognitive, emotional, and social capabilities so that I can decide on what to integrate in the curriculum. I will also include activities such as extra curricular ones that involves sports, so that they can enjoy learning. I will combine the use of technology and use visual materials that appeals to them so that they will be interested in the subject matter. And lastly, i will try to relate the subject matter to its application in everyday life, so that they can further comprehend its value.

  6. 1. What type of curriculum design do you prefer as a teacher (subject, learner, problem)?
I chose the learner design. The aim of the students to go to school if for them to gain knowledge. With this, I chose the learner-centered curriculum.

    2. Based on the class discussion on curriculum design, how would you now improve or develop your own curriculum. Be specific. Name at least three ways that you will do differently when designing a curriculum?
    a. use all the available resources possible , incorporating the traditional way of learning with the use of technology.

    b. do survey regarding the interest of the learner.

    c. do research on the latest NEED of the learner and new approach to learning.

  7. 1. What type of curriculum design do you prefer as a teacher (subject, learner, problem)?

As a future teacher, I would prefer a learner design. I prefer it to be learner design because I would consider the students in making the curriculum. The objective of my curriculum
is to make sure that my students will learn from what I'm teaching. I would have to consider the interests and the IQ level of my
students. I don't want my curriculum to be bored with what I'm teaching but I also have to
make sure that they are really learning because
    they are interested with it.

    2. Based on the class discussion on curriculum design, how would you now improve or develop your own curriculum. Be specific. Name at least three ways that you will do differently when designing a curriculum?

I want my curriculum to be fun/not boring. I have to catch the attention of my students. I don't want them to learn because they have to. I want them to learn because they want to. will make my curriculum interesting. I would do some
research about the trends nowadays. I don't want to be the out-dated teacher. I want my students to learn how fun it is to learn.

I would also add the use of technology in the curriculum. The students nowadays are so into technology so why not join them? I would probably have this on-line class in Skype.

I would also add some extra curricular activities in the curriculum. (field trips, going to museum etc). I still believe in the broad view of learning. I want my students to learn whats happening outside the class, the actual world.

  8. 1. I prefer learner-centered design. It’s great to hear what students would love to learn about and focus on, this could actually be their drive for coming to school. They become completely hands-on and are developed in such a way that they learn how to decide together, listen and make decisions.

Of course during the primitive stages of learning, subject-centered would be more apt since children don’t really know what they’d like to experience yet.

An integration of both designs would actually be best since students would get to enhance and develop in their interests but at the same time be academically prepared and competitive.

    2. Enthusiasm. Using the trends of today, I would use that of which appeals the youth today. Inculcating it in the curriculum leaves no room for a boring moment in the class.

Experience. Although learning is an overall experience, I believe learning is not secluded within the four walls of the classroom. Sometimes imagination is just not enough, students need to see something existent or get a visual for just a better understanding. Imagination thereafter, comes easy. Field trips to historical sites either within the country or out would help students appreciate different cultures and way of life.

Endeavor. By this I mean, encouraging students to take up extra-curricular activities. Whether it is in sports, academics (science fares, etc), debates, organizations, etc. students should be well-rounded individuals to develop their personality and their minds.

  9. 1. What type of curriculum design do you prefer as a teacher (subject, learner, problem)?

I prefer learner design. because its easy to teach when students are enjoying to what they are doing. I don't want them to experience to what I experienced before when I'm in studying. My Professor before taught us a subject which I think it will not be needed if I graduated.

2.2. Based on the class discussion on curriculum design, how would you now improve or develop your own curriculum. Be specific. Name at least three ways that you will do differently when designing a curriculum?

I would like to teach high school student, just to make sure that they can understand my instruction. But i want them to enjoy every minute that they have me. I will apply what I have learn in teaching taekwondo. I will be strict but at the same funny.lastly I'll apply every strategy that I have learn in my TCP.

  10. 1. What type of curriculum design do you prefer as a teacher (subject, learner, problem)?

“We believe that every human being has the right to achieve his or her full potential-100% .Students are encouraged to participate fully in , and take responsibility for, their own learning; each individual is valued and trust.”’ Donna Brandes and Paul Ginnis(1986:3)

As a teacher, the type of curriculum design that I would prefer is the learner. Since the child is the center of the educative process, the subject matter and the way we teach must be suited to him. His age, grade, maturity, interests, ability, needs, experience, health, growth and development must be considered. For example, the use of dramatic play and games are appropriate for younger children. At the same time, lecture method and higher order critical thinking skills are appropriate for those in the high school and tertiary level, considering their attention span, comprehension skills, working memory and recall.

    2. Based on the class discussion on curriculum design, how would you now improve or develop your own curriculum. Be specific. Name at least three ways that you will do differently when designing a curriculum?

When designing a learner centered curriculum we should consider the following:

    a) The data about the learners will be our
    fundamental resource. This includes their
    educational background, ethnicity,
    proficiency level, language goals, learning
styles, etc. This answers the questions:
Who is my learner? What do they want to do?
    What do they dislike doing?

    b) From the data, we can begin to examine the
purpose of the learner in attending the
    course and finding their communicative
    goals.

    c) We have to choose our way of teaching the
learners, this means how learning process
    will be.

    d) The integration of technology use is
another important aspect. This type of
learning is constantly evolving and the
learners should be given the knowledge,
skills and technology to realize their
    potential in an active collaborative
    setting.

  11. 1. What type of curriculum design do you prefer as a teacher (subject, learner, problem)?

    - I would choose the subject as the center for my curriculum design. As a teacher it is important that you have the knowledge on the subject matter you are going to teach your students. You can simplify the teaching method so that the students would learn easier than having a complicated teaching technique which would just stress the teacher out and efforts will be wasted.

    2. Based on the class discussion on curriculum design, how would you now improve or develop your own curriculum. Be specific. Name at least three ways that you will do differently when designing a curriculum?

    - I have to emphasize the importance of the subject to gain the student's interest and attention.

    - We will have small activities from time to time for them not to be bored and will be alert all the time.

    - I have to make sure that the learning environment would support my teaching techniques.
